Dr. Souvik Chakraborty is a psychiatrist of high repute. He completed his MBBS from RG Kar Medical College with honours. He then went on to complete his MD Psychiatry from Institute of Post-graduate Medical Education & Research and SSKM Hospital. He then went on to do his Senior Residency in Psychiatry first at KPC Medical College, Jadavpur followed by Senior Residency under West Bengal Education Services. He has multiple awards under his belt including LEELABATI- BHOLANATH AWARD at Conference of Eastern Zone Indian Psychiatric Society (CEZIPS), 2011 at Agartala, Tripura & being declared a Champion in TORRENT YOUNG SCHOLAR AWARD, 2011 from East Zone. His main interests in Psychiatry remain consultation liaison psychiatry, suicide prevention & drug de- addiction.
