Dr. Syed Naiyer Ali is a Consultant Psychiatrist with more than 9 years of experience after completed his MBBS from R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata. With a keen desire to help people suffering from mental illness, he decided to pursue Psychiatry, going onto complete his MD in Psychiatry from Burdwan Medical College and Hospital. Following which he worked as a Senior Resident in the Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi for a year. Then he returned to Kolkata and started working in KPC Medical College and Hospital where he is now also working as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry. Other than this, he has also worked as Consultant Psychiatrist in various corporate hospitals of Kolkata such as Desun Hospital and Ruby General Hospital. He has vast experience in managing all sorts of psychiatric patients including Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry with a special interest in Adult Psychiatry, De-addiction Psychiatry and Neuro-psychiatry (psychiatric illness associated with neurological conditions). Apart from managing patients on an OPD and IPD basis, he has been a dedicated teacher, teaching students at both Under Graduate and Post Graduate levels with great passion and is highly adored by his students. Dr. Ali believes that a doctor is a student himself all his life and so he actively participates in Psychiatric Conferences where he has presented multiple symposiums in both national and international forums. Ha has also been invited as a faculty at state conferences and has publications in Indian journal of Psychological Medicine.
